CSFC wish to farewell our senior captain, Keenan O’Shea, as he embarks on a new challenge closer to home. Since his arrival from St Albans in 2017, Keenan has led our senior side as captain for all of its division one history. On the field, Keenan led by example. As the only dual best and fairest winner in our senior men’s history, he was a consistent performer week in and week out. From the moment he arrived, he was instrumental in driving the right culture for the club and setting the foundations for long term success. His family have been huge supporters of the club off the field and will certainly be a missed presence on game day. Whilst we are sad to see him go, we wish Keenan, Alex, Hudson and Maggie all the best in this new chapter and thank them for the incredible service that they have given our club over the years 💛💙🖤🤍

We wish to inform all members that Alex O'Shea has resigned from the position of Senior Women's Coach, effective immediately. Alex has been integral to women's footy at the Lakers since it's inception, with an enormous impact as both a player and a coach. On the field, Alex had an incredible run, taking home four straight best & fairests, with the Senior Women medal named in her honour. She was named the WFNL Female Coach of the Year on two occassions, and was involved in all senior grand finals, having won a premiership as both a player and a coach. She departs after an incredible undefeated year, even having a baby towards the end of the season and bouncing back for finals! After so much success, Alex has decided it's time to step back and dedicate her time to being a mum. We wish her all the very best in this exciting chapter and can't wait to see her back for a visit! Although sad to see Alex go, we're excited for the opportunity this presents for Mick Gerada, who has accepted the role of Senior Women's Coach. Mick has also been an integral part of our female pathway for a number of years, having been an assistant coach for our U18.5 Girls during their back-to-back run. He brings with him a wealth of coaching experience at both junior and senior level and is extremely passionate about developing our women's program and ensuring there is a concrete pathway for juniors into seniors for many years to come.
