CSFC are excited to announce our U18 head coaches for the 2026 season, with Zen Christofi continuing as the head coach for the boys and Scott Melrose returning to coaching at the Lakers to lead our girls. Zen is a familiar face at the Lakers, having coached a number of junior teams throughout his time with us. We are excited to see him continue working with our developing group as they build towards some more success. While Scott is a newer face around the club in recent years, he made an immediate impact to our junior girls program, having coached our U16 girls to a grand final in 2024. We are excited to see him continue his journey with this group of girls. We would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Isabella Seychell for her service as U18 Girls coach the past couple of years. Issy has been instrumental in helping our girls transition into senior footballers, as well as supporting the development of many at representative levels. After leading our girls to back-to-back premierships, Issy has decided to take a well deserved break from coaching. Not the results we were after on the weekend, but a historic day for our club nonetheless. It was time for our seniors to join our reserves in the last game of the season at division one level, with both games living up to the hype. The reserves game was a battleground, with tough contests and hard fought possessions highlighting the four quarters. Injuries impacted us early in the game, but the boys continued to battle and stay in the game right until the very end. Both sides were putting on a spectacle of local footy in the seniors, and after losing the lead late in the third quarter, it was a clutch goal from Tate Wood with seconds to go in the last that tied up the scores and gave us a second chance in overtime. But it wasn’t to be, with the boys falling short by two majors on the final siren. Despite the loss, it was Cooper Pepi who was awarded the Best on Ground Medal, for a stellar four quarter performance that kept us in the game right until the end 🏅 Congratulations to all at @werribeedistricts on reaching the pinnacle of WFNL footy once again. After four consecutive grand final appearances, these were two hard earned, and well deserved wins. Enjoy the celebrations 👏 On to 2026 💛💙🖤🤍

We wish to congratulate our junior players who were invited to the WFNL Junior Presentation last night, in recognition of a League Top 5 Best and Fairest finish! With nine players representing our club, it was a huge night for our juniors, and even bigger to come home with three Best & Fairest wins! Congratulations to Ayden Radic, Xavier Vidal and Nevaeh Bramley who all took home the win for their respective divisions 🥇 It was great to see all attendees recognised for their outstanding season on the field and we look forward to watching you grow as footballers for many more years to come 🚀
